Well, if you can call it summer. I've just spent two very wet weeks in Cornwall.

And now its time to get excited about SKIING! Hurrah!

I have been looking longingly at my ski boots since the beginning of August I think. As I live at the seaside, the end of summer also means being able to get round the shops more easily and with less holidaymakers wandering aimlessly down the high street! Oh dear - I'm a grumpy old woman aren't I :lol:

Well I have worked like a **** all summer, and I have finally booked a week in the sun from 7th September, going to Kefalonia, so you can keep your snow until December as far as I am concerned.
Summer is still here, and I will be making the most of the early September Greek sun, thanks )

A bit skizzo here. The OH and I are part of the Scottish Proms Choir, backing Leslie Garret, This will be incorporated into the last night at the Proms from the Royal Albert Hall. Then we will be attending "Sunshine on Leith", followed in November by a London trip to see The Lion King and Concert Spectacular, also at the R/A Hall.
At the same time we have been planning a Tirol season, based around the Kitzbuhel Allstar lift pass.Schiwelt/Hinterglemm/Kitzbuhel/Schneewinkei/Niederau, about three and a half weeks.

Hi Nelly, I share your excitement but my friends who are teachers (and not skiers) do not. They're all back at work now and feeling glum as their summer holidays are over and they have a whole year to wait for the next summer holiday!

This is the time of year when I start getting excited about my holidays and take pleasure in the temps falling! Everytime someone moans about summer being over I irritate them with my yippees and woops! :mrgreen:

Bring on the cold weather!!! :wink:

Apparently summer isn't over after all, we're supposed to get an Indian one this month (but its currently raining here), I'll believe that when I see it.

I love that its already dumped in Austria :D

Just emailed the ski school to ask if I can get my lesson booked for the first day :-) I don't want anyone else nabbing 'my' instructor!
