I dont know if many of you have ever been to the mountains in the summer but I am currently back in Bormio for a couple of weeks-my first summer in the mountains and although I never thought Id say this it is possibly more beautiful than the winter!
Such stunning colours, views, the sun and loads to do-was downhill biking in Livigno yesterday and going to the thermal springs later today!
Would recommend it (not necessarily Bormio) to anyone!

Agreed, I did it last weekend for three days and found myself hiking of all things!! I even bought new pants specifically for that purpose :)

Mountains in summer is def on my to do list. We've just got back from a week of sailing in Brittany. Very lucky to have use of in laws yacht. Now that's out of the way I can get round to planning the next ski trip.

On my way tomorrow to Bourg d'Oisans followed by three weeks on the Med. Felt strange putting the skis in the car!! Hopefully some glacier skiing in Les Duex Alpes :lol: and hiking or downhill biking to follow :D

damn downhill biking-just realised i think ive cracked a rib or badly bruised it-off to the local doctor tomorrow!

No, I'm using a pair of walking poles, however an ice axe would have been more use. You seem to need a eye test Wickers.
