Ski and Snowboard Show - London - Meet up

As we all seem to be thinking 'winter' I thought I would look into the ski show and arranging a meet up (which hopefully I can actually attend this year). Its on from Wednesday 20 October until Sunday 24 Octber.

It may be that two are arranged for those that can only make the weekend (ie me).

So, who's up for a few beers and some over excitement about snow?

Ski and Snowboard Show 2010 at Olympia is on 20 to 24 October

British Ski and Board show at the NEC is on 29 to 31 October

Will confess that the NEC is easier for me but wouldn't rule out a jolly to London....

I've fixed the thread title - this is for meeting at the Metro Ski Show in London, which is not in Birmingham.

...this year (at the Metro Ski Show in London, which is not in Birmingham) there will be an official J2Ski meeting point (hurrah!) with dancing girls, fire-breathing uni-cycling juggling bears on skis, a personal appearance by Pingu (inventor of the rocker ski) and some serious goodies to win.

Ok, so not absolutely all of those assertions are true but we'll do our best... there will be more news nearer the time... :wink:

Just took a quick look at train prices for London

Morecambe to Euston on Saturday and return Sunday = GBP146:40 for the 2 of us. Accomadation for Sat night and beer money = :cry:

The price of it all would prob pay for 1 of us to go skiing :shock:

Did you have a look to see if there were any advance train tickets on sale yet? I go on the train quite a lot and if you can get them the advance tickets are a real bargain - like GBP15 instead of GBP50. But you do have to keep a watch on the internet to see when they become available and get them straight away before someone else does.

This year, to coincide with the London "Ski and Snowboard Show" (formerly the Metro Ski Show, formerly the Daily Mail Ski Show, formerly something else probably), we do have some competitions lined up.

We'll have a few special deals, provided by our partners, that will only be available at the show - but all registered J2Skiers will be able to enter the competitions. :D

hmmm our sons at Portsmouth and we did say we would meet up with him. Hmmmm maybe could meet him in London. Hmmmm maybe in October.

I am going on Thursday 21st. Got free tickets when I signed up for a half price subscription to this seasons Daily Mail mag.

Correct they do scan the barcode and it has a unique serial number embedded into the barcode (the same as a boarding pass for a plane that you print off for easyjet).

It will not work.
