If You Want To Demo Skis At Hemel

The shop underneath the snow slope is a branch of S&R. They have a small selection of skis for Demo. Be Aware......

* They want Photo ID ( yes, these are just skis and not Ferrari's)
* They will charge you GBP15 for a Demo pair.
* They issue a Voucher worth GBP15 when you return the skis
* The Voucher is only valid against a purchase of full price skis or boots and nothing else.
* The Voucher is only valid for 3 months
* They don't have the new season stock, so if you wanted to buy now, you would be unable to.

Going into a retail snowsports shop is always a bit unsettling for me. Too many shop assistants, who, when questioned, seem to know little about the technical aspects of the kit they are selling. Lots of staff and no-one serving meant for me, wasting my paid slope time in vain, trying to get a second pair of Demo skis for comparison. I gave up.

If anyone wants the voucher I have, please get in touch by pm!

Whoa.. That's simply ridiculous..

The Xscape (SnoZone) let you demo as many skis as you wish for free.. And they even offer the newest skis coming out - I've done that before.. You simply go into the Ellis Brigham where you choose your skis, tell the assistant, he'll take them to the slope and leave them aside for you to freely switch at your own pace..

No cost, no ID.. Nothing..
