SKi Vice

Well i couldn't decide which section this goes in so i decided here as more people look in here than ski tuning course, I am looking for a ski vice but I really dont want to spend 80.00 to 130.00 on a vice. i have found a good alturnative to a waxing bench and saveign my self a few 100 but the vices seem to be abit expencive. Does anyone know of a place where they sell them cheep or is there a way of making them?

Also if someone has one they don't want any more I will buy it off them.

You can get the SkiMan Vise set for GBP75

http://datawax.com/datawax/showrange.do;jsessionid=B9CCA0B954417EF427B13EF02F089C50?range=4

I've been using my SkiMan stuff for about 15 years. I think it's been rather good value for the money.

I used these. It required the hutch construction to support them.

It's a dedicated ski bench as well. The convenience of quick mount ski vices is maybe worth the extra cost in versatility. It's maybe something that you keep an eye out for a good deal, rather rush out and buy a set.

Data wax is probably the cheapest place for wax. I have a order with them now. might add that on top.

Trencher I do love your set up and was what i wanted to my self but I do not have enough room to be able to do that. But hopefully one day I will.

I used Jon to prep my skis and my wifes for this season. I have had 4 days in ADH on them, and 5 days in SC, and all they have had done since is a light rewaxing. I will be using him again for some equipment as well.
