Finding gigs in a ski resort.

Not quite sure where to put this so feel free to move it if necessary Mr Admin.

Anyway, I know a pretty good band who would go down a storm in most ski resorts with lively apres ski. My question is where would a band begin, if they were trying to get gigs in europe or across the pond even?

Is there anyone out there that has any ideas?

Re:Finding gigs in a ski resort.

I play a bit of music in the resorts I go to, but mostly on an unofficial basis. There must be agents out there who book bands for ski resorts.
I suppose they could try sending off a demo cd to various places and see what happens.
If they just went somewhere they wanted to go they could offer to do a couple of free gigs, with a view to a contract should they go well.
Its a tough business, and a lifestyle choice rather than a money making enterprise!!
