The Tyrol Grostl is a traditional food which contains potatoes and pieces of cut pork browned lightly together with chopped onion and butter in a frying pan. It is spiced with abundant marjoram, plus salt, pepper, caraway and parsley. Grostl is often served with fried egg and herbs, sheet or rohnensalat (beetroot).

Does not sound too bad :lol:

Watch one on the TV and the other via live streaming on your PC. The quality of the BBC online streaming is very good.
I had three events all going online last night and no buffering, stutters etc.

a very runny egg or two on top is essential :mrgreen:

Good job I'm not a betting man. Non of my podium predictions came through. Nice to see Bode back on form skiing like his life depended on it and actually looking like he enjoyed it at the finish.

I watched some of the mens downhill whilst on a running machine with new ski play list on. Downhill skiing and Pendulum makes you run much faster than normal.

Men's downhill was great to watch yesterday.

But I have a question...........Why was gold called after the 31st skier when there was so many more skiing the downhill? This may be a stupid question but i'm curious to know. I live in Ireland and can't use bbc's iplayer, can only watch what's shown on bbc 2 :cry:

Here is a great photo of Miller in 'the zone'. Almost like his skis aren't off the snow!

what a picture!it seems like the slope moved downwards,like when your are editing a photo.you move it and that's Bode's position.

There is live action available on the web in Ireland via www.eurovisionsport.tv (I think). If thats not it, I think you should be able to pick it up from the official Olympics website. I was able to watch lots of live action last night including the boarder cross which was very exciting. Only caught the downhill later on - very impressive win by Defago. Interesting to see the older guys doing well.

They called it then as the guys who were left to go were all outside the top 25 in the world and so "assumed" they couldn't challenge the times that had been put up if the likes Walchoffer hadnt managed it - plus the weather was improving to sunshine so the bottom was getting slushier and times on the bottom section were creeping up all the time.

They'd have looked daft if someone (Ed Drake as a mad example!) had had a barnstormer and come in on top of Cuche's time but it wasnt very likely by then I guess.

What I found more frustrating was that once the BBC stopped the live streaming on BBC and you watched it on the red button you didn't get to watch the full run they basically jumped to 1:40:00 so i assume we weren't watching it live on BBC2 for them to do that?

Was annoying not being able to watch Ed Drake ski all the way down the run. Granted he was unlikely to place anywhere high but would still have been good to watch the only British skiier from top to bottom :cry:

Yeah i also noticed that, it would show them starting off then cut straight to around 30 - 40 secs.
Bit disappointed Cuche didn't do well as i anticipated but still got more events to go.

no, I haven't hung my ski boots up yet.

I've gotta say though, that men's snowboardcross was some of the most exciting tv I've ever watched :thumbup:. Even watching it back, you can't quite fathom how Wescott could win that final.

Zoe's fall in the 2nd qualification is worth a watch - flipping herself over to prevent falling on her face. Impressive.

Just wait until it is skiercross time. (Do they even have that at the Olympics?). So much more impressive than boardercross IMO.

Yep, exactly the same as boardercross but on skis. They seem to go a whole lot faster too.

Just heard Graham Bell say that the women's downhill course is tougher than the mens.
