Anyone got any of their kit? Just wondering what its like as they've got a bit of a sale on.

My main jacket is a Dare2B - warm and stylish (well for me anyway)

Jacket was warm enough for -20 in Vermont last year!

have got the softshell hoody and it is very warm and decent quality for the price, well worth a gamble

I logged on to see if the person who posted about ski packages had looked at Dare 2 B...and lo and behold this post is newly added.

I am just placing an order for a softshell for my daughter - so was pleased to see Rossyhead rates them.
Am also buying gloves for my son - my husband has them and pronounces them 'toasty'

My daughter had jacket and salopettes from D2B as well, they've been brilliant.

I've not been impressed with their stuff in the past - not great in terms of breathability or waterproofing.

On the other hand, it is very cheap.

If you're looking to buy now, I would certainly have a look over here: http://www.regattaoutlet.co.uk/. Definitely a step or two up from the D2B stuff, and at similar (sometimes better!) prices.

i have a base layer from regatta and it is not good at all-similar to what you said about dare2be, really not breathable at all. suppose ian is right, just buy as good as you can afford

My daughter bought a Dare2b jacket last year out of TKMaxx and she loved it. Reasonably priced, and did the job fine............plus she thought it was fashionable enough to wear, so that's always good news too!!

D2B clothing is excellent value, our youngest son looked rather dapper in his ski kit on the slopes earlier this season & never complained once about being cold. I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing more of there products. :thumbup:

I have just brought some D2B sallo's, I find if I but the expensive sallo's they are far too warm for me, so I'll report back in a couple of weeks what they are like 8)

Expensive 'sallo's' needn't be insulated Ian, you can get 'shell' pants as well, going cheap wasn't necessarily the answer. Do let us know how you get on, I am sure you will be giving their waterproofness a decent test in LGB ;)

to be honest look at the other thread about TK maxx. they sell D2B stuff but also pleanty of other and better at decent prices

last year i bought the kids age 8&10 both dare2be jackets from ebay (they were new with tags) I only paid about GBP15 each which is enough to pay (as I put them straight on ebay when we returned and made the money back!) they were excellent jackets but it wasnt worth keeping hold of them for this season as they would have outgrown them. They were warm enough and waterproof enough and I thought they looked lovely on the slopes with them. I wouldnt hesitate to buy. A good tip is to take them to TKmax and try them on so you know what size to get, then if you see them cheaper online you can buy with confidence that they will fit.

Daughter started out in D2B because we bought it for her aged 13, she didn't complain about it (well not much for a teenager) has now progressed onto a lovley bright pink jacket top of the range O'Neil jacket which she bought herself which she wears at home a lot. Not much to choose between them technically though its all about the brand )

I have a really smart red lightweight jacket, more like a climbing jacket. It is D2B. You would never tell though as its really stylish.

I saw loads of d2b stuff in the sales when I was in England over Christmas. Looked like pretty good deals but I avoided it solely on the basis of never having heard of the brand before.

Bit gutted I didn't grab a bargain now I read everyone saying how decent the stuff is :(

Well I bought some of their gloves Dare2be Strada on ebay size L/XL and I'm going to have to give them to my wife. The fingers are the shortest in length I've ever seen on a glove!
