Newbie saying Hi! and pics!

Hi i'm Sam, live in Hampshire and am addicted to Skiing (amongst other things)!!

I fist went skiing at 13 years with the folks and have loved it ever since. Have tried to go at least once a year since.
Managed to convince and convert my husband into a ski fanatic also! He'd never skied before he met me!!!

He is actually getting quite good now!

We have been to a few places together and met some wonderful people on the way

And last year we decided to buy a ski apartment in Les deux alpes in france. It is only a tiny studio but 20m from the gondola in the centre on the resort and is just what we wanted. We rent it to a holiday company and we can use for 2 weeks in winter and 2 in summer, which suits us just fine.

Hi guys,
thanks for your replies (i didn't think i'd get any)!! :shock:
Far Queue I loved Soldeu, we were actually staying in pas de la casa and that picture was taken on the Soldeu side. We have been there twice and each time they had the biggest snowfall of the season!! and it was freeeeeeeezing!!! It's such good value for money Andorra would definately recommend.

Hi Dex.
Welcome to J2ski. We are all pretty mental on here, There are a number of people who have some fantastic knowledge and experience to tap into too. But if you love skiing, like a bit of a laugh, and generally are a little mad this is the place for you.
Hope to hear a lot more from you.

Like you we are all ski addicts, but don't worry too much we're not really mad we just get a bit stir crazy from time to time! :lol:

I should explain my username: my horse is called Dexter hence the name. I am on a horse forum under dex so is easier for me to remember all my names and passwords if I use the same!

Welcome Dex. Great photos. My OH doesn't ski, but I'll keep him anyways. I can always find a ski buddy, so it doesn't stop me from having fun.

I remember AmandaN - she was one of my favourite people on here last season (not surprisingly perhaps!) but I haven't seen her around for ages. It would be nice to win a trophy, I don't think I've ever won one before, and even nicer to 'see' Amanda again :D

Unless you put up a very female looking avatar, you might be better off calling yourself Dex rather than Sam, because we have had quite a lot of confusion over whether certain members were male or female :D :D I really put my foot in it with someone (I can't remember who it was now) because I was convinced they were female and the poor bloke had to explain to me that I'd got it all wrong ... :oops:

Ally, I was lucky enough to meet Amanda in Niederau last year, and she is just a lovely lady ~ absolutely the best sense of humour, and a very determined person.

Well, perhaps you weren't far wrong ... :D
She's certainly very effective at protecting us all from the Spammers :D
I feel quite safe knowing that Bandit is up there defending the J2ski walls against invaders :D

Hi Ian - Skiing in Les deux Alpes this year and probably for the next 20!!! (last year we brought a small studio apartment there).
Dave - Yes we are still identical!! (didn't think you could become non-identical)??!! but if you mean do we still look similar then yes we do! Sadly she is bumming is around new zealand with her boyfriend for the next year or so.
Good thinking about the avatar i'll change it now so you don't think i'm a bloke..............!
