Les Gets and Les Houches both have snow - whether they will open early I don't know, but their websites should be able to tell you

Here you go - Snow Conditions near Geneva

Whatever the reports say, you MUST check with the resort offices before you make plans though; snow conditions are changing quickly (for the better at the moment!) and resorts quite often have partial / restricted openings this early in the season.

Higher resorts like Zermatt and Verbier will be your best bet, of course, but lower resorts with snow will be quieter.

Re:resorts around Geneva already open???

Verbier: The higher central areas are open currently - that's Attelas and Lac des Vaux. Apparently there's a 50% discount on passes this weekend. Tale a look at http://www.verbier.ch/index.cfm?Langue=En for more information and access. It looks like the telecabine up from the big car park in the valley at Le Chable to Verbier isn't running, so you'll have to drive up. But check this.

thanks for the response, everyone!

checked a couple of the closer resorts, but doesn't look too good, most seem to be planning to open just 3-5 lifts....
