New Transfer Company.

Have just got back from St Gervais, the snow is starting to cover high up and its getting colder by the day. Have just managed to fix Satallite dish to roof so now can watch Xfactor, Coranation Street. ) Here is a new transfer company that is run by a couple of young brits based in St Gervais, they offer a flexible service from Geneva to allover the Chamonix valley, plus they are very nice people :) Why not give them a try?

Eggman, they may become nice rich people if Euro270 airport-resort return is a typical price per person. Alternatively they may find it tough going as a sample price from Aeroski for the same trip is Euro129.
Of course that won't be d2d.

Hi you are right about the price :( it all depends on where abouts you are in the resort and how close you are to the local drop off points. Do Aeroski stop running at 19.15 from Geneva? I remember we couldn't make the last bus when flying on some late evening flights. Still looking for the cheapest most convenient/legal way to get from Geneva to St Gervais. :)

Best price so far is with skicab.com but I'm still researching. Also looking at car hire but am getting very confused.com!

We have used Alamo/Budget/Sixt it all depends who is the cheaper, Alamo has been the cheapest the last couple of times this summer. I think O/H uses travel supermarket.com and just puts in budget cars, we have even had a couple of upgrades :)

A friend (ahem) told me if you search for Hertz CDP codes on the World Wide Interweb then you will likely find ones which will give you a discount. Obviously you will have to qualify - so if it's for readers of a certain newspaper, all very well, but if it's for employees, then obv you can't use it.

Another good one to try for cheap car hire is carrentals.co.uk; it's great watching the price go down as it finds more and better deals.

I've always preferred having a car than getting transfers, as it's normally cheaper and gives you some flexibility when in-resort..

Too true,I almost forgot O/H has bought her ski pass whilst we were out in St G. GBP480 for the season not bad. I have not bought mine as I need to see when the Bunion surgery will take place. :( I went this morning to see the surgeon and need to go back next Friday for a pre op, why? In between I have to go to nearest xray department for an xray. We havn't got one at the local hospital. The doc said I will be off work for six weeks, so its cutting it a bit fine for skiing on the 26th of Dec :shock:

Have had both feet xrayed this afternoon took 15mins from booking in to leaving hospital. NHS brilliant. :)

Hi O/H has just booked Daughter and three mates from Geneva to St Gervais.
Cham-Van Eu320,Skicab Eu296, Holidaytaxis Eu336, Ski-lifts Eu260,resortrides Eu250. Good deal no problem :)
