Arabba / Dolomites VS. Algna / Monte Rosa

I have a question for all you people out there who have been in these places.

We are going for three weeks to Italy in february-march, and we are going to visit Monte Rosa and the Dolomites.
But as we know saturdays is usually the "switchday" - they rent appartments from saturday to saturday - we have to decide where to stay for two weeks and where for one...

Help me out here! Which one would YOU choose for a two week stay? Why?

Thanks
Oskar
Finland

Monte Rosa, no question; higher slopes, generally more snow, off-piste and heli possibilities, probably less crowded...

But then, if a livelier apres is your scene... 8)

Tough call (what I'd give for 3 weeks in Italy!) but I reckon a week in the Dolomites and 2 in Monte Rosa / Aosta Valley would be a killer combination... but don't sweat it; sure you'll have a great time either way.

We are seeking for good off-piste skiing - and both have a good reputation...so it's going to be hard to choose.

Keep does answers rolling in!
The Dolomites are pretty, and the Sella Ronda is fun for its sense of travel, but the skiing on the Sella Ronda is not super challenging. Arabba is defintely the best on the circuit, and has good sightseeing and pretty good skiing but there aren't an abundance of hard core spots there.
