35,000 J2Skiers

35,000 registered users, quite a milestone, well done J2Ski. I have been a member for around 20 months, and learned a great deal, about places, equipment, and people. I have been helped, and have tried to help people.

There are some interesting characters who have contributed during that period, some good fun, some absolutely great one liners.

It has also been a real privelige to have met many J2Skiers, and skiied with most of them.

I have also met both of the first two contributors to J2Ski!

Vive la J2Ski!

I'm here been away for a month caravanning in France but as I have just posted on Facebook summer holidays are ok but nothing beats hurtling down a slope at 50 mph on a snowy mountain! Can't wait til the 26th December!!!!

Rose is on here but really should be in bed. Busy four days ahead as the onslaught of people head to Bournemouth for the air show. Why do they still invade all the shops cant they just go on the beach

I'm here too, circumstances mean that this seasons trip may have to be cancelled so i've not been posting, although i have been reading :cry:

That's a lot of J2skiers. Where are they all?

My hubby and I were chatting about sking the other night whilst walking Mr Dog and we couldn't imagine not going skiing. Ever. I couldn't get through a winter without hurtling down a snowy mountain and ending the day with a few wines somewhere, it would kill me knowing I was missing out on some snow action.

Come September (ie the week after next), I'll be hunting down the Ski mags and watching the webcams for any signs of snow.

Thank god for this brilliant forum, at least I know it's not just me that's completely obsessed :D

Aye, 18th of September is when the new issue of fall line will be out as the season begins to take shape. Not the best snow sports mag but it's prob the best ski mag. Not enough freestyle in it for me but doest the job.

Bandit, I am mortified. Not only would you qualify fully as a suspect, There are some interesting characters who have contributed during that period, some good fun, some absolutely great one liners. , but you have a classification of your own. You are the Detective Chief Inspector overseeing all Spammers. Most I never even get to see the original message before you have shot them down in flames, closely followed by elimination by Admin. Quelle formidable!

Ellestine! How could I forget you, in my quick recollection! Especially after your special event in Oberau. Not to mention your frau's errm, unusual exit from the top of the Marbachjoch!

Not to mention also your artistic contribution to a Jan Stenmark photo montage of a run above Niederau ~ classic! Wish I had saved that.

Our boat never leaves Portland Harbor let alone making it to Bournemouth! We did think about coming up for that Firework World Record attempt. I hear it didn't go quite as planned?

Yes the fireworks were a shambles but I believe they did okay on the Sat night, goodness knows how much that cost, glad I am not in that Council Tax area. The highlight for me was to see the Vulcan fly. My Dad was the aircraft technician, many years ago when that actual plane was in service at Boscombe Down so I saw a lot of it as a youngster, it was great to see it again. Actually bought a really nice Vulcan book that the crew and Pilots signed for my Dad, plus a membership for their club, he will be delighted.

No Tony, it was the Vulcan. But Dad did also fly Tiger Moths, which were used extensively as trainer aircraft. You will have to go back to the Sopwith Camel to maintain your usual level of attack.
