booking holiday for my group, started at 11 people and has now dwindled to 5, this has made finding what we want tricky! we wanted a chalet, but realisticly down to an apartment now, but we'd like sole occupancy and ideally 3 bedrooms and under GBP600. having dificulty and am sick of trawling through web sites...

argh!

single male, but different country, different rules... looking at jan 16/17 for a week, french resort, les arcs, tignes, val, courcheval etc. within walking distance of lifts. GBP600 each for accomodation, flights and transfers.

I'll look into austria. also, looking at doing things independently how much should it cost to get a transfer from chambery airport to les arcs with skis/boards? got one quote for GBP550, surley can get cheaper!

Nearer the time when all the chalets realise they are not going to fill you will get an excellent deal. I'd hang on.

no such thing as cheap transfers in France...this one is better though ...about on a par with what I paid last year

Austria is usually cheaper for transfers but try Samoens on The Grand Massif

Its oK for 2 or 3 definitely CROWDED for 5..and you might be able to get in at your price..especially in Jan..and the Skiing is excellent
