Morning! Well there are metres of new snow, sun forecast all weekend, I was paid 2 days ago, ahve not got pig cold so far.... this time tomorrow will be arriving in Zermatt for a 3 day farewell to the European winter, couldn't be happier :D

Last thing we heard before we went to bed last night was that there's a case in Barnet, quite near us. I was woken up this morning by my youngest saying he didn't feel right :shock:. First thought - swine flu, second thought - might not have to go to Yarmouth :lol:

Tino, first bus is at 5.09 and takes 18 minutes so I will get that. I assume because they are Swiss it will be on time if not a little early :D

Pabs, There is a good left luggage office in Zermatt station, if you need to stash your bags for the day, and you can get decent sandwiches in the Co-op in the arcade opposite Zermatt station :D The taxis are pricey, so walk if you can bear it )

my head was spinning this morning with the knowledge of how much I had to do today to get ready for our lovely little trip to Great Yarmouth - had to go to work this morning, house a tip, hadn't even ironed one item, man coming to look at the bathroom so had to clean it (he didn't turn up), need to buy supplies for lovely caravan, got a long morning at work tomorrow, haven't even started packing yet, don't even want to go on the bl**dy trip, needed to get deposits for next year's ski trip from 24 people, email was down from 8am until 4pm...

not a good day :roll:. I'm off to bed, roll on monday. But then back for two days and we're off again on the next trip. no wonder my head's spinning!

To be honest I have needed a giggle over the whole 'flu' business. It has been a nightmare week at work, people are really worried and all the hype is frightning them, the health authority have plagued us all day with info, and just about every customer thinks they have it. Just glad to be out of it for 3 days.

Oh man I am tired today. Got home at 2am, and was in a meeting at 8am :(

On a positive note, had an excellent time in Zermatt, conditions were fantastic!! The long ride down from the Kleine Matterhorn to Cervinia being my favorite of the weekend, but in general it was all good. The sun shone for 3 days, the appartment was great for less than 50 EUR each, the beer tasted good and I had no accidents :P

Will post some piccies tonight.

P.S. not too shabby on 2 planks, that youngster!!

Edit: Just looked at my distances and did 30km on Friday, 35km on Saturday and 39km yesterday, which is not too bad for a wee cruising weekend.

I fell asleep last night as soon as I got in from work so could not post pics, and tonight I am gonna watch the footy down the local micro-brewery, so maybe mine will be up for the 2010 season.

Here, I have said it before and I will say it again, that NHS direct website is dangerous!! Since I got back I have been exceptionally tired, got a sore throat, sore eyes, sore muscles, bad stomach, a cough and have sneezed a few times.

Aparaently I have a possible case of Pig Cold or New Influenza A (H1N1) as it"s informally known, and must consult my GP or hotline immediately by phone.

Nothing at all to do with 3 days skiing in a t-shirt, no sleep, far too many shots (curtiousy of Pablo and his fascist student drinking techniques), not enough food and too much sun!!

Last time I used that website I had meningitis and was advised to call an ambulance :shock:

I went to the doctors yesterday and he told me I'm a paranoid schizophrenic. Well, he didn't say it exactly, but we knew he was thinking it.

Tino spent the evening on Friday wondering why I was only drinking 2 beers for his one, I was just saving myself :lol:

I really can't ski when I'm hungover so I need to avoid it at all costs. Losing 1/3 of my ski holiday would not be good 8)
