Cervinia or Zermatt

Within the next couple of days I intend to book 1 week in either Cervinia or Zermatt for early Jan 2010.

I was wondering if you had the choice which would you choose.

I have been Zermatt only for 1 day mind.

It really depends what you want from your skiing.

For big mileage, easier skiing go for Cervinia. For more challenge go for Zermatt.

I'd go for Zermatt but both are good ski areas with lots to offer, and both will usually have good snow in January.

I loved Zermatt went on day trip from Saas Fee, think I will go Zermatt Jan then Cervinia feb/mar. I personally think some deals on Inghams earlybird are quite good for these resorts.
