It is not too late for Europe but I would say head to North America anyway (especially if you haven't been before).

I have only been to a handful of places in Canada (Rockies/Monashees) and would suggest Banff as the base for your holiday... this will give you access to the two resorts with the longest (non-glacial) skiing in Canada; Sunshine Village and Lake Louise.

If you want any more info give me a shout or post here.

Re:usa or canada mid april

In order to correctly answer you must specify if you wish eastern or western parts of America.

Rigth now Western Canada has poor snow coverage! Kicking Horse is rocks and ice! Sorry but that is truth!

Best place is Colorado with a great deal of snow!

Eastern USA and Canada has had three snow storms in past two weeks!

Today I skiing 20 cm. of powder.
Some Maine ski resorts got 22 inches,,that is +40 cm.!!!!!

May I suggest; Killington,,,Stowe,,,Attitash and a small Maine ski resort called Sunday River!

Aspen has had well over 40 inches of new snow in the past three weeks!!!

Hope this helps you!
Pav

Re:usa or canada mid april

It does look like BC/Alberta is having a raw deal this year. However, the Banff area can get a lot of snow late season. I remember skiing 21 cm of fresh powder at Sunshine on May 21st 2007. Keep an eye on the forecast, there is plenty of time yet.
