Planning a trip for mid-March.
Wife staying home.
If anyone aware of a particular web-site which caters for singles or any suggestions please let me know.
Would like to do it for GBP450 max.
Not concerned on location, obviously must be snow

A lot of the time, IME, if you can work out a DIY package you avoid singles supplements.

Just something for you to look at.

Balkan hols charge relativity low single supplement

ring the tour operator and see what you can negotiate. If its off season you got a good chance of not being charged a supplement or they may find you somewhere that will not charge or reduce it

Nip down to your travel agent too see what they can find for you

Avoiding single supplements is one area where Googling usually is not the answer

i normally book with crystal, and touch wood the three i have booked so far have all been no single supplent on rooms and i have just found one for mayrhofen on 4th april which is GBP7 per night supplement, when are you travelling, try crystal site's.

nice and snowy,
not a windy place, i hate wind
fly either east mids, doncaster/sheffield. manchester, birmingham
lift pass, ski skool or somewhere i can ski around with clear mountain directions (got lost in hopfgarten at xmas)
cheapish to eat out or half board,
my own room with a shower and toilet.
not bothered about apres ski, normally done in knackered and bed early,
i love scenery so pretty views, no concrete tower blocks,

dum de dum de dum think thats about it.

do you normally pre book passes etc before travel or through the resort offices? i probably go round it the wrong way

Nice and snowy... sheltered from the wind.. cheap flights to Chambery... well sign posted mountains... all chalet board...

Chalet board means you will get breakfast and dinner and afternoon tea included for 6 out of 7 nights, and will mean you share accommodation (single rooms available usually) with other people. I went with my daughter to Verbier in March 08 and shared with 8 others, and ended up skiing with some fun people.

Tony stop laughing told you im thick, one reason i got pout off chalets was a girl at xmas was in one and she said she had to have a cold shower everyday cause all hot water was used up and showers were shared eeeewwww tis okay if you want someone else body stuff in shower and they dont clean it, feel sick now yuk

oi lol shower problem was evening time, and i like to be out all day ski-ing not rushing back to get hot water. and i once had a bad allocated on arrival deals.

She was on one of these Contiki deals have you heard of them, Australian club 18-30n but ski not ibiza deal things.

chalet board sounds okay, i'll have alook about see what i find and trust your lots judgement,

not a snob but i would rather pay to have en suite, mainly cause i look like poo poo first thing bed hair etc !! mind you look like poo poo morning noon and night :mrgreen:
