If you type 2380 on your mobile and send whilst holding the phone next to the TV they.ll text back to with all the info on the theme tune. Then you.ll be able to buy the CD and play it all through summer as well :D

Slight problemo it only lasts 2.43 mins it takes me at least an hour to do a black run ???????????????

I still think Ski Sunday this year is rubbish, and is only now a highlights show for those who dont have Eurosport.

I know I am in the minority here, but I thought last years format was much more fun. Thats why I watch High Altitude, I guess.

I agree Tony, much preferred last years format, unfortunately we do seem to be the minority, hence the 2 different programs - ho hum

I preferred last year's too though the gf prefers this year's format. Which is strange as we have Eurosport and can watch the whole thing instead of the highlights.

And why show slalom - it's dull compared to downhill.

i love slalom beats me how they know which poles to go around, downhill very good too, and free style is completely nutty

As long as it doesn't have 'smellavision' as he had the same top on for three weeks. I'm stinking after an afternoon on the slopes.

Obviously it's left of red, right of blue (or the other way round) but can anyone explain why they have double gates sometimes, and why there are sometimes other poles on the course that they don't ski round - doesn't that make it confusing for them?

Perhaps it makes more sense to see it in person.

Didn't you watch the Men's slalom on saturday? It was very exciting especially with the some of top runners all ballsing things up. And I'm not a big fan of slalom.

Don't agree with that one kev, very skillful, next time your on your ski hols watch out for the kids slalom race training I think your be surprised 8)

i like slalom think its great how they get round them wish i could do it, makes me cringe sometimes how low they get to the snow yikes, i'd be on me bum

The World Champs pitch on Saturday was a real tester especially the last third. I struggled to keep up from the sofa!!

I didn't think my slalom preference would be so controversial :lol:

Slalom certainly is skillful and it was fascinating to watch from the chair-lift in La Plagne. I just prefer the scenery, noise and speed you get from the downhill. And the bravery - I'd never have the nerve to do that. Though again to be fair to slalom I was surprised at how steep the slalom hill was. :shock:

Unfortunately I only caught highlights of Saturday's slalom - forced to compete in a cross-country for my running club and ended up rather muddy.

They are all gates, i.e. each gate is made up of 2 poles so you have red gates and blue gates.
Sometimes it will seem as if one pole of a gate is off to the side and not relevant but if it wasn't there then the course wouldn't make sense

You can see that sometimes it would seem that you could go through a gate in either direction but if you choose the wrong way then you come out of the course.

As to how they know which way to go? They have inspected the course beforehand and memorized it. They've been doing this since they were little kids - it becomes second nature after a while.
