Resort close to Airport

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone with a bit more resort knowledge could help please.

The last 2 years I have booked ski trips with a tour operator and been to Risoul in France and Schladming in Austria. Risoul was a great resort, fantastic views, quaint town and quiet slopes. Schladming was also a good resort with more apres ski than Risoul.

We are looking to travel just after Xmas 09 but due to family parties etc it will be a 6 day break and is probably easier to book independently as the tour operators predominantly do 7 day breaks.

I am looking for a resort close to an airport with good direct bus or train links? Add to that a resort that has a decent snow record as it is early in the season.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Type Geneva Airport in the Google box on the top right of this window and it lists all resorts within an hour of the airport. I don't know enough to say which is best for Snow at Christmas - but my choice would be Chamonix. Loads of transfers go there and it seems to be constantly near the top of the snow depth charts on this web site.
