Advertisers, Folks Joining The Forum Just To Pimp Their Stuff

How do regular Forum participants feel when someone joins J2ski just to pimp their stuff which is on ebay?

Are we being offered an opportunity, or is it just SPAM?

Should admin be offering free advertising space?

Your thoughts peeps :D

I think a 5 post minimum so people don't just join to sell stuff. If they do they should at least be forced to make 5 useless posts to do so. It annoys me because I just use 'Latest Ski Chat' to look at threads and currently they are being filled by (potentially stolen) goods!

I personally don't mind people posting ebay links to their second hand or used ski stuff for sale. It widens their potential selling base and give us a chance to grab a bargin. To be honest, as long as people are upfront about what they are selling and as long as its relevent then I think its ok.

Its the spammers who post random things that they think are clever to confuse people which annoys me.

I didn't join the forum to buy ski gear, if people do want to sell their wares then it should be kept separate from the ski chatter section. :-o :-o :-o

I agree with Ross. 3 posts, 3 ebay items isn't cool (dodgy explanations too!).

Something along the lines of, "section for forum participants/members to sell surplus and redundant......

You don't mess with Admin, I've skiied with him. If Dave says it's his patch of snow, then it is his patch of snow.
