Anyone come across or used this website:

I ordered a hat from them on 19th Jan and got an email saying it had been despatched, and it still hasn't arrived yet. 3-5 working day delivery in the UK it said.

I replied to the email, it bounced back.

I went on their "Contact Us" area and no response. Not a dickie bird.

And guess what......no telephone number.

They took the money though.

Have I been had here, or has anyone else used them?

On a recent trip to scarborough a friend saw a sign T**T hats
for sale,When he looked they were Norwegian noggins like the ones most
of us wear for skiing.They seem to be a big hit with the kids, But
now i find myself smirking everytime i see some one wearing one.

By the way, I hope no one dissing my old skool bobble hat styling are the sort of people who ski in those vile hats that make you look like you have luminous hair, Eisbar or similar? Those who do really have no place to criticise some hugely stylish hearwear.

Kind of flipped round the side/back, yeah. I beleive the ultimate in cool is to wear them at what my mother would call a "jaunty" angle: allow my son to demonstrate:

Probably going to regret this, but whilst we're on the subject of silly hats....

One of my more useful Christmas prezzies, even if it does look a bit tea cosy like :mrgreen:

And yes, I did take the hook off the top before I went skiing in it :roll:

I'm now thinking retro Tony,your bobble hat range and my classic ski top, as it looks like the bobble hat is back in vogue then how long before C&A re launch in the uk with a classic range of ski top.

I couldnt really get a good look at the way your son wears his hat. Do you think you could post a few more pictures of him, I think I need to see at least 5 :wink: more photos to be able to give a full and frank review of his hat wearing. maybe just wearing the hat without the other stuff distracting from it? hahahahahaha :lol:

I have a dislike of helmets, and will probably only wear one when it becomes compulsary. A couple of my mates wear them, and one in particular has a nicely styled one. I just think it looks like the motorbike is missing.

It looks like I am the next victim of scansports.co.uk !!
As quoted by one of the people from their shop with the same name, but claims to be no part of the internet business "customer service, what's that !!" there telephone number even appears on my Visa bill hhhhmmmm !!

I placed an order with them for a helmet on 3-1-08, terms and conditions on their website, say 2-3 days delivery. Still no sign of it now !! As per other posting on this forum, they have no telephone customer support and no one will ever answer the phone and as I said above the shop with same name, claim to know nothing about the internet side of the business and they themselves, are not able to telephone them !! The sales person told me I was one of 15 people who were having similar problems that had called him that day, It was only 12:30 when I called !!

Scansports have lots of different email address and I have tried them all without reply, except one that replied and said the following
"Thanks for your email, I am sorry you have had trouble getting in touch with our company. We no longer offer telephone support but you should have had an email response.I will pass this onto the relevant person now."

This was the last I ever heard from them and emailing back to this same email address has been unsuccessful :-(

I understand that times are hard (credit crunch) and they cannot afford to pay someone to answer the phone or emails, but what are you meant to do when the goods you have paid for, never land on your door step ?? You cannot contact the parcel company they use, because you have no idea which company they use, or have any reference number!! So that leaves you out of pocket, with nothing you can do !!

I have now contact my credit card company, who say it will be 2-3 weeks before they are able to contact the scansports to claim the money back, it is not a great deal of money, but now is just a principle thing !!

My advice to anyone who is looking on the internet for ski gear, is try somewhere else and don't be the next victim !!

Well i was sent an email that said, i would receive a refund, but nothing in the bank yet !!

I just found out the other week, that a friend of mine lives around the corner from the shop in Macclesfield ( that claim to be nothing to do with the internets sales) and he said they have always been really bad and that is why they claim to be no part of the internet side.... They often say they have things that they haven't !! and just leave it for people to complain :-(
Also to NOT have telephone or email support in this day and age is very odd !!

Good luck with the goggles :-) You may need it....

Sorry you may not have seen the update i wrote about them..

So here it is again pasted and copied, as i have not worked out how to link things on the forum yet ;-)

It read as follows........

I thought I would just let you all know that I have finally managed to get a refund :-)

In total I have sent them 46 emails and made endless calls !! With out reply.

Then I was advised by the POLICE (internet fraud) to send them a formal letter using the template from the Government Consumer Protection website ( you can view it at) http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/after_you_buy/making-complaint/template-letters/dsr_letter/ )

After send this to them with all the blanks filled in i received this reply...

your refund has been processed

Not even a sorry....... but the template worked, they responded within 6 hours...

Their level of customer support is zero !! and I live in Spain where customer services are low !! So i do not expect that much, but least they will communicate with you..

As per previous post. Chose somewhere else to spend your hard earned money !!

If you think I am just a one off, check out google for a full list of unhappy shoppers....

Well i didn't get a call back today.

I received an email saying 'Due to an error i was sold an item that was out of stock. A full refund has been issued.'

Guess i'll have to wait and see if it arrives

WOW, I am amazed you got a reply so fast !!

Strange how they sold you something they did not have in stock :-( !! Seems to happen to everyone who try's to use them..

I do not know what type of goggles you are after, but have you tried the shade station at http://www.shadestation.co.uk . I have always found them to be very cheap and send everything out straight away...

let me know if you get your refund ?? Mine still has not come, so here goes for another email......

SCANSPORTS what a nightmare, I have ordered a hoodie back on the 14/3/09 and nothing??? Was supposed to arive in 3-5 days. Then I saw your posts.
So today sent the proformat email as suggested by ski&dive, and am waiting for reply (I have sent 3 emails already) have been calling the Baker macintosh phone number which is a dodgy answer machine saying send an email! GBP40 for the hoodie so I have no intention of giving up!
