I had a Snowboard Taster tonight!!

Will I now be banned from this forum? I enjoyed it but it is a strange feeling being scared of slding down a nursery slope again!! Might have a few more lessons and see how quickly I pick it up...

Nah, I did it too and it just made me realise how much I loved skiing... I have actually done a couple weeks of snowboarding :lol:

No matter what you do ski, snowboard, cross country, ski jumping, bob sled, mountain climbing or snow shoeing it's being in the mountains that matter. :wink:

Both my kids are good skiers and want to try boarding. I would also like to try it, but dont want to spend time learning something all over again, and farting about with sitting/hanging around, so might just pass it up and stick to improving my skiing.

Beware; once you get into a pair of nice, comfortable, lightweight snowboard boots it's difficult to climb back into robot boots again...

I skied for 12 yrs before taking up boarding for 5 yrs but this year I am back on skis and can't wait no more walking on the flat spots.Got myself some nordica speedmacine 10s which are nicely worn in and ready for la plagne next Saturday!! So Looking forward to clocking up some miles.

I was waiting for that one. I was a little shocked to see how that came out, but it was taken on quite a steep incline, and somehow its made my legs and skis shrink!

Anyway, it was the hat we were supposed to be discussing. Proof that it is me in it!
