Ski pass website to check your mileage

I was informed there is a website where if you enter your lift pass code, it will provide details of where you went, what distance you covered, etc.

Does anyone know the website I am refering to?

my lift pass for the skiwelt was listed and i found out i done 178km across 6 days - not bad considering that 1 of the days 1 skiied 4km due to helping 2 of my beginner friends :)

I tried this when I came back rom niederau, and it wouldn't recognise my lift pass for some reason.

this is such a cool idea :-)

Shame I recently chucked away my last ski pass. WOudl have been interesting to see how many miles I did. Wonder if it can tell how many miles I spent sliding on my arse :-)

the website seems to be a trial basis atm and covers only some resorts in austria - as far as i can see.

i have been reading they are planning to move to other places asap

as the lifts are electronic it looks as the lifts you are going through and then works out approx how far it is that you have skiied to get to the next lift you have travelled through. it will never be sure of the exact figure but its a good idea in theory

It's all clever stuff, thank god it doesn't cover France, I just spent a pretty penny on a watch which does the same thing :D

198km in 6 days in Mayrhofen before Christmas....

Not bad on a tray, and considering the last 2 days were messing around off-piste in the powder..

69p for the iphone app 'ski tracks'. It tells you all sorts of information about your skiing including charts...Wherever you are.

For skiwelt area, go to www.skiwelt.at, and then click on the altitude and descent evaluation service, and then skiline registration, lift pass number is required. I also used the ski tracks app on iPhone which seemed pretty consistent with the skiline service. :-)

Just checked mine and I managed 150km in 6 days, actually it was really 5 days and a couple of hours, I was ill on Monday and ended up in bed after lunch :(

I don't think this website covers every resort and I don't know of any others. From what I've read it only appears to be Austria that is covered.

Try googling it, something may come up there.

It pre-dates computer measured distance, but when, in 2001, I broke the Niederau record for the number of runs in a day, this computed, in straight line skiing, to 107km, but adding just 20% for some turns, and non-linear elements, is 128km.

In 2011, this, in turn, was substancially whupped by two 18 year old Austrian sh*ts, and this would equate, adding for turns, 148km. Now, I don't want to make anything of the fact that the uncle of one of them works in the Gondola base station (controlling the Gondola speed), or that they did not have to go through queues, as I did. No, that would be pure sour grapes. GRRRRR.

The Dolomiti Superski pass does this through the performance check on it's website.
