Kaprun........just back from New Year...Euro - ouch!

Just for any of you who maybe heading that way......we've just returned from a great New Year week in Kaprun. Lovely resort and family friendly unlike the euro rate!!

Luckily we stayed half board but still managed to spend around GBP1500 in one week. With one supermarket to shop in the current euro rate made things very pricey and near double on some things. 16e for a GBP5 bag of nappies!!

Yep. GBP60 for lunch on the slopes was a killer, beer/coffee/hot chocolte GBP5 a go isnt great, is it?

2 adults & 3 children but only 2 lift passes!!

Worst of it is we're off to Chamonix next week and just read that beer on average 5.50euro - I so need to take up another past time sport other than apres ski!
