Hi,

Can you please advise if we require snow chains. We are arriving by car from Alicante end of January and we are not sure if snow chains are necessary.

If you mean you are coming to the UK, then no you will not require snow chains. 8)

If you are going to the Pyrenees I would recommend it, the Sierras? Not so much

No probs, enjoy your trip. Hell of a long drive!?!

Especially when you are only 5 hours away from Sierra Nevada...

Also be sure to practice using your chains in the day light before you are on the side of a mountain road in the dark struggling in the snow;)
