French Alps_Winter 2026

I've come to the conclusion that, from a meteorological perspective, this could be a rather unusual winter due to the El Nino phenomenon, as far as anyone can reasonably predict, of course.

How has the weather been developing in the French Alps so far? Are we behind previous years in terms of snow cover at this stage of the season?

For those of you with experience in the region, how do you see things developing over the coming weeks and months? I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts and predictions.
I'm particularly interested in Courchevel, where I'll be spending my Christmas holidays this year.
