Park City in Utah is preparing for a busy 2026-27 winter, hosting Shaun White's new 'Snow League', as well as further terrain expansion at Deer Valley and major lift improvements across the two resorts.

'Snow League' comes to Park City
The 'Snow League', founded by three-time Olympic snowboarding champion Shaun White, will take place on Park City Mountain from 21-23 January.

The event will feature elite snowboard halfpipe and freeski halfpipe competition, with the finals deciding the men's and women's winners in both disciplines.

Deer Valley Adds Seven New Runs
Deer Valley is continuing its major expansion programme, with the new Hail Peak Express lift opening access to 200 additional skiable acres and seven new runs for winter 2026-27.

The additions bring the resort's total to 4,500 skiable acres, 209 runs and 32 lifts.

Further improvements include a new family-friendly snow feature zone and expanded snowmaking capacity, supported by a new 10-million-gallon reservoir. Development is also continuing at Deer Valley East Village.

Since December 2024, the resort has added 11 lifts and more than doubled its skiable terrain as part of its 'Expanded Excellence' initiative.

Park City Mountain Improves Access at Canyons
Park City Mountain, the largest ski resort in the United States, is also investing in lift infrastructure at Canyons Village.

The new 10-passenger Sunrise Gondola will offer direct access from the village to the Red Pine area, helping improve skier circulation and reduce waiting times.

The resort is also replacing its open-air Cabriolet lift with the enclosed, 10-passenger Canyons Village Skyway. The project is scheduled to be completed for the 2026-27 winter season, alongside the final phase of a new five-level car park with 1,850 spaces.
