Irish pop group Westlife will headline Ischgl's Top of the Mountain Opening Concert on 28 November, as the Austrian ski resort celebrates the start of the winter season as always with a major live music event.

The concert will mark 25 years of Westlife, whose catalogue of global hits has made them one of the most successful pop groups of their generation.

Fans can expect a set featuring some of the band's best-known songs, which include 14 UK Number 1 singles, such as 'You Raise Me Up' and 'Uptown Girl'.

The event takes place just two days after the first skiing is scheduled to begin in Ischgl on 26 November, offering visitors the opportunity to combine early-season skiing with live music in the mountains.

The Top of the Mountain Opening Concert is an established fixture in Ischgl's winter calendar, attracting international performers to the resort to mark the start of the season. Previous concerts have featured major stars such as Robbie Williams, Elton John, Rita Ora and Mariah Carey.

Ischgl is part of the Silvretta Arena ski area, which links the Austrian resort with Samnaun in Switzerland.
