Improving Helmets and Goggles

Hi there everyone, I'm a masters student at the University of Nottingham and I'm currently looking to improve the design of the ski/snowboard helmet and goggles for my final year project. I'm exploring the ideas of helmet customisation and how the helmet interacts with the goggles.

What are the main issues you guys encounter with helmets and goggles while you're on the slopes? Or are there any features of this equipment you've seen that were particularly good? Any thoughts you have are welcomed!

Completed but didn't really get where it was going.

I ski with helmet and goggles 100% of time, don't really see how you can ski without them. The only real annoyance is that you need to keep goggles in place I.e. if you get tempted to remove goggles on lift and foam gets wet then you are done.

As a wearer of glasses (can't wear contacts) the small range of OTG goggles is always restricting my choice. I ski in 2 helmets (no, not at the same time), one with a visor which works well when skiing on piste and in good weather. In bad weather, snowing etc. or when skiing steep and deep I wear good quality Scott goggles with a helmet.

The main purpose of the survey is to gather the information about user behaviour, rather than asking any direct questions about what improvements need to be made, as understanding what the user group wants will help make the solution as best it can be!

My opinion initially was that ski helmets and goggles can be fairly generic, with the aim to be that the helmet can be designed to take more user desires into consideration!
