British Airways flights for half term 2017

The outbound flights for my daughter's half term were released by BA today. GBP1300 one way for three of us :shock: ! Does anyone know what time in the morning the flights are released so I can get in there early tomorrow? I have Avios points but there were no rewards flights available at 7.30 this morning.

some dates / routes never have rewards flights available - they use some sort of complicated algorithm that they never make public

Easyjet would have been my first port of call, Gatwick or Stanstead. I had a quick look, but full at half term. This seems to be rather late date to look at a half term date.

Is driving an option? Portsmouth ~ Cherborg?

Half term 2017 so flights not yet released Dave.
I think you will get rewards flights in the next few weeks. What this needs is regular checks of the BA.com website.

We usually fly Easyjet to Geneva and have travelled from Stansted, Luton and Liverpool in the past. It's normally no more than about GBP100 return pp incl luggage but that means booking the instant the flights are announced.

As things stand at the moment, using Avios with BA is my cheapest option so long as reward flights are available. I have managed to get flights for Christmas and Easter in the past but this is the first time I have tried for half term. Looks like Easyjet is a good plan B for me. Thanks for the info.
