Tipping guides for mountain tours -ITALY

Good Morning
I'm taking a group of 36 to Madonna di Campiglio this week. It's our first time there. We have tentatively arranged with one of the ski schools to go out with guides on our first ski day for a 4 hour tour or for a six hour tour. There will probably be 6-8 people per group. I would appreciate advice as to what the customary tipping practice is at the end of tour and any recommended amounts as appropriate. Molto Grazie.

Tipping is not customary, if you are stopping for lunch or having a drink afterwards then you may wish to cover their bill.

Hello Medskis

Have skied Madonna a few times-used ski guides twice. Yes, tipping in Italy is not too common but certainly your group should offer to pay for lunch/coffee. Depending on how your guide is then I would suggest that you tip 5 euros each if you feel inclined, it is normally greatly appreciated. Lovely choice for a resort-good linked area, vibrant, good restaurants and fairly reasonable prices compared to Switzerland, France and Austria. Enjoy.
