Just want to say.......

I am getting a bit giddy

Sitting at home, had a great meal and loads of red vino. Just looked out of the window and it is snowing loads. This time next week I will be in Les Gets looking forward to my first weeks skiing (of two) of the season. Hopefully meeting p with a couple J2 ski peeps.

Released my giddiness, back to my whisky now. Might give you a few updates next week

I always used to get like this just before going away. Unfortunately a couple of life changing incidents in the past couple of months have forced me to readdress my priorities in life so I am struggling to get quite as excited as I used to. However I am massively looking forward to getting away next weekend and being back in the environment that I love so much. I am sure I can generate some giddiness by the end of the week.

Have a good holiday Iceman, snow looking great and weather looks promising for bluebird days from 23rd onwards. Have a great time in Cervinia Tony,snow looks fantastic,good skiing,great views of the Matterhorn and fantastic lunches in Chalet Etoile the best place to eat imo.I am away in ADH this time next week and definitely getting excited.Although have missed the other J2ski peeps by a week.

The temperatures are rising again next week, hope that is not the sign of rain coming.

Starting to put some stuff in a bag, checking gear :)

And it's exactly the same here, I was on the phone yesterday to a pal and we were talking about runs we will do, whilst we both had piste maps in front of us. No doubt we will be doing it at the airport and then on the plane, but the inner child comes out very easily as the time to go approaches.

I hope everyone has an excellent and injury free time away.

Some stuff in a bag has translated into - doing a full pack. I'm ready to go now. Got 6 days to look at it all now. Put on ski coat - it felt good :lol:

Plenty of time to unpack and check at least three times Icy :)
The Alpe D'Huez group are getting excited!
Bit like herding cats trying to bring it together......
Mind you I have a cunning plan to resign as organiser two days before we go - that should save all sorts of hassle!

Think my bag can be packed a lot better, might have to do it again.

Cant believe how many wires and cables I seem to take to go on holiday - it gets more every year!

Is it just name, or does everyone have a spreadsheet for skiing (and all other holidays) that lists exactly what I need to take driven by a formula on how many nights I am going away for..... :oops:

Tonight is skiing eve. Weather for the coming week looks like there could be some good bluebird days.

Having skiing lessons for the first time in about 10 years, I need to improve from the plateu I am on. Put my b*lls off the piste or moguls breathe deeply and GO!

Today is skiing eve for me, packed and ready to drive to Gatwick for the early BA flight to Turin. Likewise, the weather is looking great - cold, sunny and a lot of snow on the ground. Very excited. Just hope Mrs H is feeling strong enough for 6 days of our usual skiing all day after her Xmas trauma, fingers crossed. Hope everyone going this week has a great time. Yes, even you Icy me old mate ;-)

I'm just 1 hour into the 3 hour coach trip up to La Roisere. Have a good time guys.
