Good idea. It would be silly having a car each.

Re:getting to wengen

A taxi from Zurich airport to Wengen will be expensive, I would expect it to cost in excess of CHF 700. Why don't you just take the train? There is a railway station beneath the airport, a second class single ticket to Wengen costs CHF 87.40, a ticket to Lauterbrunnen will be a bit less. If you are returning to Zurich the Swiss Transfer Ticket will cost less than a full price return train ticket, but you must buy it before you arrive in Switzerland http://www.sbb.ch/en/leisure-holidays/holidays--short-breaks-in-switzerland/swisstravelsystem/swiss-transfer.html

Re:getting to wengen

Have used the train to get from Zurich airport to Wengen - very convenient, all the connections worked as a clockwork, just pre-book/buy and you'll have better price as SwingBeep mentioned above. If you fly with SwissAir they will do it for you, (Fly-Rail option, they will also transport your luggage directly to Wengen)

Re:getting to wengen

Swiss or Swiss International not Swiss Air - they went bust years ago!

Have done the train from Zurich airport to Grindelwald; very straightforward but make sure you get on the right part of the train at Interlaken Ost; the front end goes to Wengen, the back few carriages go to Grindelwald (or is it the other way around?!!!)
