Billy no mates

Thanks to Ally I'm off to La Rosiere on Sunday :)

Very much looking forward to it but looking at the website i booked with it seems me and my fiance are the only ones booked into the Chalet.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Don't fancy being the only 2 people in a chalet.

Don't know...seems good to me especially if it has a hot tub etc. All that space to yourselves. Have a great time and find time to ski over to La Thuile

Yes its got a hot tub :) I like a bit of atmosphere though.

Hi Sm4Sh, I can't believe that you two are the only ones booked into the chalet for the whole week. It takes 18 people. Have you tried ringing them to ask?

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about having a whole chalet to yourselves, at least you have plenty of snow now! :)

I am surprised no one else as booked. I have looked at there other Chalet and it still has 3 rooms available, so id guess they will put us in there instead. Either way we are looking forward to it.

We once got a bargain deal which meant it was just us and one friend in a 'luxury' chalet meant for about 14 guests. We had two chalet staff looking after us and they were just great, plus hot tub, sauna, etc. all to ourselves. They offered to serve us breakfast later than usual so we could have a lie-in! Have a great time!

You could always ring them, and ask how many people are booked into the chalet, Sm4Sh :)

Iv just called them. The guy on the phone said they are desperately trying to get others booked in to the same chalet but don't worry we will be moved if they get no other bookings. I think my Mrs is looking forward to maybe having a swimming pool now so fingers crossed they get no others.

Will get a phone call sometime tomorrow letting me know if we are being moved so I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Fingers crossed yeh 8) Just got to hope no one else books :roll: to be honest though as long as we arnt the only ones in the chalet we originally booked id he happy there.
Although the pool and the fact this one is in town does sound good.

I'm very jealous. It's a shame we left it so late to decide to go skiing this year. Myself and my fiance would have happily filled a gap!

Received a phone call from Ski Olympic earlier. They are putting us in the Chalet Grand Planica. :)

Sounds good. Thanks again Ally for recommending :) Ski-in/ski-out. That's good. I think the other Chalet was a short bus ride away.

Anyways If I can figure out how to upload pictures on here ill be sure to share some on my return. But for now I had better get back to packing! The worst part of any trip :lol:

Hey Guys. Just to let you know im back and had a brill holiday. Not had chance to get on here since. Really enjoyed the Chalet experience and think from now on we will be booking these rather than hotels :) Can anyone tell me how I upload pictures and ill share a few.

You need to set up an account with photo bucket or equivalent to host your photos. Make sure they are at the correct size for the forum.

Interesting to hear that you now prefer chalets to hotels. We've gone the other way (!) and now much prefer hotels or s/c apartments to chalets. Primarily because we shared the chalet with an irritating family last time and are not keen on fixed meal times with huge portions.

I suppose if you get stuck with an annoying family it would give you a different opinion. We have a group of 3 lads, a couple of couples, father and son, father and sons plus girlfriend.

I enjoyed getting to know people and sitting around the dinner table was always a laugh, also ate food I wouldn't normally order if I was going out for a meal. So found some new foods too.

Also we bumped in to people from the Chalet quite a bit when we were on the slopes.

When we have stayed in a hotel we have never really got talking to anyone and so I think that is the reason I would go in a Chalet again. Although my fiance says she prefers a hotel because she said in a Chalet it is forced socialisum (a word she made up when we were away :lol: ) being sat on a table with people you don't know.
