Daft Question - Ski Bags and flying

Hi there,

I've got a daft question. I'm pretty sure it's flight / airline dependent but do some airlines let you take a ski bag as cabin luggage?

I'm trying to remember if a few years back we took one massive ski bag plus a suitcase and a boot bag as cabin luggage.

Over to you :)

(But I'm guessing it will be bootbag as hold luggage only)

Cheers T1b

Re:Daft Question - Ski Bags and flying

I would have thought that if the boot bag falls within the airlines published guides for size and weight, then there is no reason you could not take it as hand luggage.

The ski and and suitcase would have to go in the hold.

If you fly with this outfit you might well have to put your ski bag in the cabin http://www.lunajets.com/en/destinations/private-jet-zermatt/

I've drunk with people with hollow legs, but never 'EMPTY' ones. Maybe the flight price reflects the drink required to fill them?

Re:Daft Question - Ski Bags and flying

Hmm, with that i must have imagined it :) Granted, most of the flights we've done the boots go in the hold luggage, we may have put some boots in the suitcase to even out the weight. Cheers Peeps

Re:Daft Question - Ski Bags and flying

skis always go in the hold, i always keep my boots as hand luggage though. everything else is easily replaced if lost but the boots and the time invested in getting them properly fitted not so much
