Where to for March weekend 2015?

Looking for recommendations for a Thu to Sun trip 12th March. I have flights to GVA and ideally want a short transfer time.
Looking for two comfortable single occ rooms for grumpy old men, near lifts at a sensible price.
Already booked for Deux Alpes and Les Gets but struggling for accommodation in March....help?

Re:Where to for March weekend 2015?

I stayed here on a 3 day jolly, lovely and slope side in morzine.
http://laubergade.com

But having booked Les Gets then morzine might not be on your radar.
Personally i would probably look to Chamonix. Short and plentiful transfers and tons of hotels.

Re:Where to for March weekend 2015?

hi Snowplough from another old grumpy

Do have a look at La Clusaz. About 45 minutes from Geneva and a very nice little village with some decent blue/red and the occasional black runs. Resort not particularly high so some chance that in March conditions could be dodgy. If you want to guarantee your March stay near Geneva then it has to be Chamonix. You may already be familiar with Chamonix, but, high altitude, great town and lots of choices in the area-loo at La Tour for instance.
I would probably opt for Chamonix as it is fairly snow sure at that time of the year. Best of Luck. Pole Plant.
Lot of the hotels do not want to book for less than a week but they will nearer your ski time when they have empty rooms ..... Loads of resorts under an hour from Geneva ....
