Sochi Skier/boardercross

This course is insane. Just watching the boarder solo runs competing for starting positions. Already two crashes and they haven't started the event proper yet.
This looks unnecessarily dangerous to me.

It does look fairly "exciting" but fingers crossed for no more crashes (well, injuries at least).

That's easy. The IOC will then offer the Gold to any skiers named Emily who should have been at the Games... but the BOA will turn the medal down on the grounds that it's not credible...

But back to reality... Zoe Gilling's in the third quarter final and needs to finish in the top 3 to progress to the semis. Given the "rate of attrition" we've seen in previous games, she's gotta be in with a shout... GO ZOE!

Re:Sochi Skier/boardercross

Better find something else to do today, they're fogged in and it doesn't look like anything will be happening on the mountain.
The men's snowboard seedings runs have already been cancelled (seeded by world ranking instead).

Re:Sochi Skier/boardercross

Much better conditions today's for the men's skier cross. Some huge jumps in the seedings runs. They're making it look tricky running one by one. Going 6 abreast is going to be interesting!

Isn't it just? Some impressive runs in the seeding.

Today's schedule just posted here
