Re:Late March Resorts

Any of the French higher resorts......
Probably look for village above 1500/1600m with good high level skiing available in case of a warm spring.

Tarentaise - From Three Valleys, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Val D'Isere or Tignes.
Maybe Les Deux Alpes worth a look - the intermediate stuff is all high up, just the run back to resort can be a bit iffy for some.

Loads of others to choose from in Switzerland, Italy and Austria. But I ski in France as a rule.

I would make sure that there are no connections through lower lying resorts at the end of March.

Re:Late March Resorts

If you are intermediate cruisers then probably cannot beat Cervinia at that time of year. Guaranteed snow, nice enough village and short transfer. Being Italy prices and coffee and much better than rest of alps.

Really late March is not so "end" of season so I wouldn't be overly concerned. All of France and Italy have great bases now and more snow in next week will put them on track for great season.

Re:Late March Resorts

Best resorts already recommended but if you fancy Austria Obergurgl/Hochgurgl at village heights of 6,500 to 7,000 worth a look-fairly easy all round skiing. Austria also for Ischgl. and perhaps Saas Fee (Switzerland) traffic free village and also plenty of intermediate skiing.

For France perhaps Val Thorens, which hasn't been mentioned-above tree line and a bit '60s' council build' but guaranteed (almost) snow.

Obertauern has always been very good to me late season. Only about 1 hour from Salzburg and there is lots of quality accommodation.

Re:Late March Resorts

Obergurgl. I have been there late season for both of the past two years. This included one Easter, when the snow was still very good, a bit slushy at base station, but not much.

Recommend the Hotel Sportiv, reasonable value, ski hire/service in the basement, 15m from the Gondola, access to Hotel Crystal great swim facilities.

Linked with Hochgurgl, and the lift pass covers one day at Solden for an extra Euro10.

I enjoyed night skiing.
