Hi-

Just interested to see how many people know about skiing in the lest expected country's....?

Or maybe you have been to one specific area? anywhere in Africa? Greece? Cyprus?

I like the looks of the new Zealand and Australia resorts, has anyone been to any?

I have been to a ski area in Cypress, and I have skied at Perisher in Australia ~ I happened to hit the best snow they had had in memory.
Have also been to two ski areas in New Zealand, Cardoma and Queenstown.

I went to Southern Chile a couple of years ago and skied a few ski areas like Corralco and Pucon. The ski areas don't compare to ski resorts in Europe but it was an amazing experience.

For something a bit different try Big Sky, Montana, USA. Great 'cowboy' atmosphere, pretty easy skiing and near Boseman-a great town. Drove up there from Utah, about 500 miles, but easy on the roads to do in a day.

I didn't ski there but it was strange to see skilifts on the slopes of Mount Etna on Sicily in the middle of Summer when the temperature was in the 30's. It was a bit scary to see one of the lift supports had been taken out be a lava flow the previous year :roll:
