Try Bialka and Kaprowky Weich and base yourself at Zakopane. It is a lovely town but must say the skiing is not joined. However you can have a good day each at the above resorts but if you are a reasonable skier you will struggle to get a week as the runs are limited. But if you are in the area!!

Livigno offers much larger ski area than anything in Poland. It should also be more snow sure.
However if you fancy a short ski trip while in Krakow then Kasprowy Wierch near Zakopane is the highest skiable mountain in the country with 1000 m vertical and 2 long runs. Best suited for intermediate/advanced skiers. For early intermediates/beginners Bialka Tatrzanska near Zakopane is the better option. Krynica Zdroj has been voted the best ski resort in the country for the last 5 years running, but it lies relatively low and is 3 hours on the coach from Krakow. It is also a top Polish spa resort and my favourite ski resort in Poland. You can get weather updates on internetor by phoning the lift companies.
http://www.jaworzynakrynicka.pl/
http://www.pkl.pl/kasprowy/home
http://bialkatatrzanska.pl/index.php

Just read on their website that Krynica is closing on 14 April: :(
Snow condition on Kasprowy Wierch are good, 65 - 195 cm of snow with some fresh snowfall.
Bialka reports very good snow conditions with 70 - 100 cm of snow. No news on end of season date yet, but will be open weekend 13-14 April :)

Val d'Aosta tourist board are offering free list passes from now till the end of ski season - 23rd April I think. You need to book at least 3 nights accommodation on half board in a local hotel to qualify for the offer. Champoluc and Monte Rosa area is superb - one and a half hours from Turin. Website is lovevda.it
