it is great to ski somewhere that actually has trees, makes me want to reconsider France totally. went out for a meal last night, simply excellent, not that expensive either. love it here

I agree with that icy ....... I really enjoyed skiing tree lined area's never really bothered me before :thumbup:

It's a great place to ski Kate, its become a real favourite of ours. Mainly because it feels like you're not in France.

Always had good snow there, even at Easter, and never had any issues with queues but I understand it gets very busy when French schools are off.

Where are you stopping?

We've got an apartment in Monetier - just a short walk from the Bachas chair. As we're still tied to February half term my preferred way up the hills is always via chairlifts - always end up being less painful than cable cars! Really looking forward to it already...!

Excellent. You'll love it. Monetier has a lovely old rustic centre with a square. Great skiing that side too.

I loved Serre Cherre but I have to agree with Snapzzzz I have never seen trees lining the pistes as beautiful as in Morillon and Les Carroz -fairyland.

No they're not.

The huge beautiful conifers look awesome in snow. The bare brown deciduous trees do not compare.

Snapzzz, I agree with your views on these trees. Trees are NOT the same adjoining every run in the alps. Many resorts take a view on how important is the planning of views, whether for skiing or summer walking.

I recalled a comment you made when viewing my Niederau Run 19 vid ~ "Nice trees" ~ at that time it crossed my mind you were taking the p. I was so wrong about that.
