Cheap place for skiing??

I am looking for some cheap place to do skiing at the end of March(22/3). Do you think it is good to go Kranjska Gora Ski Resort in Slovenia? Will it be possible to do it during that period?
Or any suggestion for some cheap place???

Dodgy snow record. I booked 3 days there a few years ago independently and the property owner telephoned to tell me not to bother as there was no snow. That was late March. On the other hand, it COULD be superb.

You really want to find somewhere with good enough altitude and go from there.

France: val thorens, val d'isere, serre chevalier, les 2 Alpes
Italy: cervinia
Austria: lech/st Anton, ischgl, Solden, obergurgl
Switzerland: zermatt, vernier

I'm not sure many of those are cheap though

You should be able to find somewhere in Morzine cheap enough and ski Avoriaz....

To get something cheap but snowsure you're going to need to get a late booking.

coz it will be my third time to ski..
i think i can handel the easy track
i have no idea where should i go to learn some new skill
i wonder should I have the private lesson to learn more advanced skill

Eric, private lessons are good (but not cheap); group lessons aren't quite as good (but cheaper).

ye... I have a friend of friend who taught me when I ski for the first time. I think I can master the basic skill like turning, stop etc...
will the private teach other skill?

Here we go again.

Eric, book a weeks ski school and get yourself in a non beginner group. Sounds to me like you still have a lot to learn and you're not going to get much out of your ski trips until you can master being able to get around the whole mountain in comfort and without killing yourself or anyone else.

Sorry Eric I ditto Tony, take a week of lessons you will feeeel the benefits 8)

But decide where you want to go that is in your budget and then book your ski lessons :thumbup:

Good advice. Slovenia might be great in good snow and for a weeks worth of ski school but you'll find some bargains if you leave it late to book. Ski school can always be booked as the package or separately through the tourist office of where you end up going.

The only problem at the moment is that availibility seems to be in "N"
