Lyon airport car rental

Anyone picked up a rental car at Lyon before?
I'm flying in there for the first time soon, and would welcome any tips on how to avoid the queues, where to find the cars, how to pick up passengers from arrivals in the car, and whether the French companies (Avis in this case) provide winter tyres automatically.

The french normally charge for winter tyres, I have been racking the old swede it was a long time since I hired at Lyon, I always hire from the Swiss side of Geneva airport as the Swiss do not charge.

Masses of threads about renting from geneva over on "another" ski forum but I couldn't find anything about Lyon. I know the French don't have laws about winter tyres though.

I will be crossing the col du lautaret mid march and its well known for being snowbound so I'm wondering about getting some chains on the way.

Also, its now law to have hi vis vests for each passenger and a breathalyser kit, so do the rental companies provide all this?

They do supply the Hi vis vests, but not the Breathalyser kit, but again I hire in Switzerland, Give the hire company a ring to confirm

Ok
So it's a legality to have a breathalyser in the car so how come the rental company are happy to send you out illegally?
