Christmas 2013

Hi I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice about good skiing resorts over the Christmas period. I'm planning on taking my gf somewhere in Europe just after next Christmas to spend new year skiing but don't know where to go or where is guaranteed good snow. She will be a beginner and I'm an intermediate. I like the look of obergurgl in Austria but really don't know? Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks

Depends what your budget is, New Year is one of the most expensive weeks of the season.

About 1k each for the holiday. More worried by snow fall than price

Most areas have plenty of snow by the end of December.

Obergurgl would be great - although I am not sure I would want to be a beginner there? Hopefully someone on this forum has learnt to ski in Obergurgl/Hochgurgl and can reassure you on this however. :D

Hi all thanks so much for your responses. Ended up booking Obergurgl for over New Years next year staying at hotel madelein. Can't wait already.... 364 days to go :-)
