The Last Supper and Skiing.

A Pavel story ( only for adults )

This tale is for adults NOT for the reasonings you think.
At the end of this story you will determine why.

There was a famous person who few knew was a great skier. One evening after a great great day of skiing she asked all of us, "if you knew it was your last supper, what would you order" ?

We all thought about it and I answered, "of course I would have the real Boeuf Strogonoff, with potatoe dumblings a la Kiev and finish it a brule ".

We all gave our favorite meals as last suppers. Of course a discussion followed on what meal was truly the very best "last meal".

Then the clincher came from her with this question, "why wait for that last supper,,,,,,,on every ski trip we will have one of those meals on me".

So we did. Every year a special meal was prepared and after a great day skiing one person had his/her last supper dream. Those great ski trips now became magic.

The famous person,, Nora Ephron. Just died, yet lived as she dined since she had Leukemia for many years yet told no one. She had her last supper and loved it with us. No one knew that this last ski season was her last supper.

Why is this story just for adults?

Only you know now that you must plan your last supper. Take that ski trip you dreamed of. Savor everyday of that ski trip as if it was your last one! When you have that last supper during the ski trip, raise your wine glass to Nora for making that ski trip possible. She moved you to make that decision.

Enjoy her films even more now!

Pavel
