resorts to ski in near livigno

we are going to livigno on the 11.1.12 and would like to try another resort for the day that is not to far away,we went to St.Moritz last year we are all good skiers,2 adults and three kids 16.14 and a boy of 13 who is like an adult where sking and attute is concerned!

Never actually done it, but Bormio is only a 40km drive straight down a single road (might have a few turn offs to get to the lifts, but the town is accessed on a single road).

I think Wickers is the Livigno man, he's away in Chatel at the mo..... I don't suppose that matters though as if your dates are acurate then i am sorry to say that you have missed your holiday :-(

I lived in bormio for a season two years ago-it's great for a day and very friendly-cheap to eat etc and great wide open runs. Quite varied though if you want steep, there are one or two.
The secret in bormio is the off piste if are into it but you ned to know where to go, ask me if you want and all pm you some areas
After you are done, on your way back to,livigno you have to stop at "la pozza". It is the natural hot springs that are in the ground below the roman baths, great way to soak the muscles after a day on the world cup piste!
I am slightly biased though, I love the place
