Any tips for returning skiers...

6 of us are returning to skiing after 4 years away due to arrival of little ones. Of course we are bringing the kids with us to introduce them to the joy of skiing as early as possible. However this topic is not about them - does anyone have any tips for us returning skiers. We are all intermediates who were comfortable on blues and reds, (at least were 4 years ago!)but with far from elegant technique!

Any tips on things to look out for? Exercises to do in advance. All are much less fit and less agile than 4 years ago! 5 weeks to go to departure...cannot wait!

Tks!

1 - get generally fit, nothing specific, just fit as you can.
2 - start slowly, potter around on easy runs on the first day.
3 - make sure the tiddlies are being well looked after! If you are confident they are happy you will enjoy yourselves more
4 - book a private lesson for the six of you for the second day
5 - have a wonderful holiday!

Re:Any tips for returning skiers...

2 of us will have to return to pick up the kids at lunchtime but the other 4 will have afull days skiing. Given our lack of mileage I'm looking for routes that intermediates can do in 3-5 hours. Taking it easy and stopping en route of course!!

best advice I can think of is to make skiing fun for your kids, the more fun they have the more skiing you will do.
