Insurance for (VVV) oldies?

Talking to our aged neighbours about upcoming ski trip it was obvious that they were envious and could perhaps be tempted to join our group.
Apparently (according to them) it is almost impossible to get winter sports insurance at a semi-reasonable cost.
Jeremy (82) has skied forever......better technique than I could ever hope for.
Liz (72) again has many years of skiing and with effortless skill.
Apart from Jeremy's knees they are both fit and well and they could easily manage a few hours easy skiing per day but it is not worth the risk to go without insurance.
Does anyone have any thoughts?

It might be worth them looking at either the Austrian Alpine Club Insurance (no upper age limit):

http://www.aacuk.org.uk/benefits.aspx

or contacting PJ Hayman Insurance Brokers directl. They may be able to make a suggestion:

http://www.pjhayman.com/buyonline.asp

I'm not a customer of, and have no connection, with either organisation.
