Not quite sure what you are trying to establish but I think you may need to re-think your approach.

How I find out how to use a new product very much depends on the product - simple products may need no instructions, complicated products may need very detailed user manuals, whether hard copies, DVDs or online. Your survey does not allow for this variation.

Similarly, in taking up a new activity, I would expect to use several resources, e.g. probably friends to find out the basics initially, possibly join a club to progress and depending on how good I wanted to get, then proceeding to professional training. Its not a simple question as asked in the survey and, as a result, I don't think the survey is going to give you meaningful results.

The questions cover too many things for a single answer to each question.

If I got a new phone camera I'd probably just play with it (perhaps a glance at he guide to see how the get the back off it without breaking it to put the sim in). If it was a bed I'd look at the instuction leaflet on how to assemble it.

Likewise a new activity - if I were planning on learning to drive I'd get one to one tuition, learning to roller skate I'd just go for it. Other things you might read about, join a club or get a bit of advice from a mate.

In other words if you want specific answers to a question it has to be specific in nature.
